O.R.C.C.A.'s purpose is to provide children and adolescents under 19 years of age from low-income families access to oral care in a not for profit setting. It is based on the beliefs that all children and adolescents have the right to healthy oral care and that effective oral care positively transforms the health and lives of children and adolescents.  

O.R.C.C.A.  services include basic dental care, referrals to our volunteer specialists, oral hygiene instruction and many more resources.

Eligibility for O.R.C.C.A. services include being under 19 years old and the following:

1. Being part of the B.C. Healthy Kids Program (for more information on BC Healthy Kids and eligibility visit http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/managing-your-health/healthy-women-children/child-teen-health/dental-eyeglasses

2. Being part of the Non-Insured Heath Benefits Program for First Nations Children and Adolescents

3. Belonging to a family with an income of less than $40, 000 a year and no dental insurance. Eligibility will be determined through income tax statements or agency social work recommendations.

Note: Special circumstances such as several children in the family will be given consideration through application to a Patient Review Committee for situations where there is low income, no dental insurance and/or the above criteria do not apply.

Friday Adventure Camps Age 6-12 

Every Friday school is not in session.

Runs 8:30-3:30 in the Portlock Park Portable Classroom.

$34/day

Stay active this winter at this Friday Adventure camp! These action-packed days will include different activities, games, crafts, sports, visitors and expeditions. There will be a trip to the library and swimming pool on the 3rd camp day of the month. Campers 5 years of age who have completed Kindergarten can register.











Youth Programs at the Library

Youth Writing Group - the first Thursday of every month 3:30 to 5:00 in the teen room. For ages 9-13. No registration is required.

Youth Book Club – the second and fourth Thursday of each month 3:30 to 5:00. For ages 10-14. Run by Marsha and Cathy

Friday Games Night- 6:00pm, in the Library Program Room. Free, open to all ages and no registration is required.
